Default RS232 communication baud rate details

The default RS232 communication baud rate used by the Technosoft drives after Power ON / Reset is 9600 bps.

When EasySetUp or EasyMotion Studio is configured to use RS232 to communicate to the drives, it scans all possible baud rates in sequence. Once communication is established (on the default 9600 bps baud rate), it then proceeds to change the PC and drive baud rate to the value set in the Communication Setup dialog (for example: 115 kbps).

If an external RS232 master is used, it must start the communication using a baud rate of 9600 bps and then to change the drive and its communication baud rate to a higher value.

Another solution (if the drive is set to AUTORUN mode) is to program the drive, using the EasyMotion Studio software, to change the communication baud rate after Power On / Reset. The needed instruction can be inserted as a "Free Text" or using the "Miscellaneous" dialog (see the picture below):
