The iPOS4808 drives were designed to output 8 A nominal / 20 A peak but in case of the small motors, their current accuracy can be improved by reducing the current scale to 3 A nominal / 6.6 A peak.
To reduce the current scale, the following steps are required: 1. Create a new project (in EasyMotion Studio or Easy SetUp) for
the needed configuration; 2. Save the project and close it;
3. Open (in Notepad, Notepad++ or other simple text editor) the "parameters.cfg" file from the project folder (by default: C:\Program
Files (x86)\Technosft\ESM\Projects\Application Name\parametrs.cfg) and search for the "CurrentScale" parameter.
5. Change the "CurrentScale" parameter to 1, save the file
and close it;
6. Open the project made at the first step and go to the "Drive Setup"
dialog. 7. Click on the "Drive Info" button and modify the drive "Peak Current"
value to
6.6 A.
Remark: The "Drive Info" dialog can be unlocked by pressing, in the same time, the "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Shift" +
"A" keys combination.
6. Press the "OK" button and continue with the drive and motor setup as in case of any other project.
